The children made 2 thumb pots to start with, and then they moulded them together to make the shape of a pumpkin. Then they painted them in vibrant autumn colours. The results were striking. Each month there will be an Artist of the month. They will either be chosen by their peers when we do a gallery walk or by Mrs Nicholson. This month Georgie Henley-Price was chosen for her watercolour painting of colourful birds with a moody sky as a backdrop.

Y1 Pearls have been enjoying their topic on animals around the world. In Art, the Pearls looked at a range of animal patterns and skins. These last two weeks the Upper School pupils have enjoyed experimenting with clay, learning to roll it , attach and shape it, to create faces that display different hairstyles, characteristics, and expressions. In the Upper School we have been working on portraits this term, focusing on learning the different features and their position in relation to other features on the face.
