Instrumental Music

Music is an amazing vehicle for personal expression and creativity. This is the reason why we encourage the children to have a go at learning a musical instrument.

Peripatetic lessons are offered from Year 1 in the following instruments:

Piano, Violin, Saxophone, Clarinet and Flute

Pupils learn a huge amount from, and take great enjoyment in, playing together in groups. Percussion club, Guitar ensemble  and Choir are the main forums that the school offers to do this. These groups will often have an opportunity to play at some of the school’s main events such as the Carol Service and the Dolphin Concert. For many of them, these occasions are some of the most memorable moments of their time at the school.

COVID SLUMP? (Not at Dolphin)

Despite the lockdown, pupils at Dolphin have continued to work hard and flourish in creative ways.  Some year groups have now returned to school while others continue to benefit from our comprehensive Remote Learning programme.

If you are worried about your child experiencing the ‘COVID Slump’ and falling behind, or are just looking for a school where your child can thrive, click here to find out more.

There are limited spaces available in some year groups.

We are offering free registration until 8 July.
