What a fantastic buzz in Year 4 today! Paired up, our keen pupils industriously investigated Number Bonds to 100. Starting with the manipulation of Cuisenaire rods to solve simple problems, we looked for and discussed the patterns and generalisations that evolved. Following that, we sketched the outcomes before moving on to more formal notations, using digits to represent the amounts.
