Year 2 Sapphires have been thinking about the effectiveness of the tubes that carry the water from the roots to the leaves in a plant. We tested this by placing some celery in a cup with food dye and water. Although it did not make the whole of the celery red, as some of us had written in our hypothesis, we did notice that when we cut the celery we could see that the tubes inside had turned red. Well done Year 2 – great observation skills and teamwork!
