We have been busy in Reception finding out about minibeasts in our Bug Research Lab, in the garden and at the playground. We found an ant, a beetle, a fly and a centipede at the playground. In the classroom we have been drawing labelled diagrams and painting pictures of minibeasts after looking closely at their body parts. We sang a song about the head, thorax and abdomen to help us remember the three main body parts. Also, on Friday and then again on Tuesday, we enjoyed planting potatoes in the garden.
