Recently Year 4 were honoured to receive a visit from Bertie and Willow’s mummy, Mrs Lloyd. She came in wearing a daffodil and captivated us with tales of her childhood in Wales. We got to pronounce the longest place name in the U.K and learnt about St David, the patron saint of Wales. Mrs Lloyd shared her love of music and sourced a powerful rendition of the national anthem beautifully sung by a Welsh male voice choir. We were so excited to have such an enthusiastic guest sharing her love for her homeland and treating us to super-duper, scrummy Welsh cakes! Diolch Mrs Lloyd!
