On a rainy Monday morning, Year 5 travelled to Southfields Academy to face a range of real-life scenarios at the Wandsworth Junior Citizen Scheme. We felt very privileged to have the opportunity to meet professionals from a wide selection of Wandsworth’s emergency services, who guided us through the twelve activities. These included first aid, rail safety, fire safety, and road safety.
The children were required to think on their feet and communicate well as a team and we were impressed with their maturity and their ability to respond calmly and sensibly to each new situation. The instructors were pleased with the answers that children gave and each group scored highly.
