Last week Year 2 enjoyed the opportunity of going pond dipping at the ponds at Wandsworth Common. The children joyfully used nets, trays and microscopes to capture and examine wildlife. We discovered millions of water fleas, as well as dragonflies, water boatman, blood worms and even a rat-tailed maggot. This was a great chance for the children to develop curiosity and a ‘hands on’ approach to science.
