On Monday we had the privilege of having Karl Hopwood join us for an informative day of looking at issues surrounding e-safety. He began the day with a whole school assembly where he sensitively opened the conversation about healthy online habits. This was followed by year group workshops where he unpacked age-appropriate issues surrounding the use of technology and the internet. Karl noted that our pupils were not only thoroughly engaged but they also responded with honesty and wisdom. He was impressed with the general attitude of the pupils towards their use of technology and their willingness to build healthy habits!
We were then pleased to have Karl join us for an evening session with parents where, true to form, he shared up-to-date research, issues and guidance for parents. Those that attended the evening commented on his balanced view of technology and the usefulness of the content, for their role as parents.
