Many pupils in Year Four have showcased a very serious approach to calculating money this past week. They worked in pairs to shop at www.things.co, using sophisticated technology in the form of calculators to budget effectively and secure the best possible bargain for their team. There were some strong assertions and quiet compromises made within the partnerships as they justified their personal favourites and wants, but overall the group agreed that it was a great ‘real life’ mathematical problem solving experience demanding skills they can use to help you at home.
