On Monday, the Year 3 Rubies embarked on an historical adventure. Whilst tidying the church, we stumbled upon two very old map and we decided that it would be worth notifying a nearby museum to see if any of their experts would be able to make sense of them. We were astonished to receive a visit from an historian that same afternoon! She encouraged us to use our detective skills, and together we discovered that the maps showed south-west London in the past, going back nearly 300 years! We could track some of the changes over time and finally we explored our imaginations to create our own maps, showing how London may look 100 years into the future. There were some pretty wacky ideas for how our grandchildren might be living in the years to come!
