Our Latest Inspection
ISI inspections are rigorous and draw on evidence from governors and school leaders, parents, pupils and staff, alongside lesson observations, pupils’ work and school documentation. This process builds a detailed picture of how a school functions as a whole.
Inspectors found a community working in harmony, with pupils, parents, staff, leadership and governance aligned by shared values and high expectations. Pupils were described as “particularly delightful”, and inspectors noted the warmth and connection with staff that help children to thrive. A strong sense of joy, belonging and care was evident throughout the school.
Relationships sit at the heart of the report. Teachers know pupils well and plan skilfully to meet their needs, creating a safe and purposeful learning environment where children are encouraged to grow in confidence and independence. Parents’ and pupils’ voices strongly reinforced this picture through thoughtful and supportive feedback.
The inspection confirms what the Dolphin community already knows: this is a school where children are known, valued and supported to flourish academically, socially and emotionally in an environment defined by warmth, joy and purpose.
